Discover the Cape

Your trip to Cape Cod is more than just a wedding weekend — it’s a chance to soak in the coastal charm that makes this place so special. We’ve gathered some of our favorite beaches, restaurants, and activities to help you experience the best of the Cape while you’re here.

  • Craigville & Dowses Beach

South-facing on Nantucket Sound, these are the classic, gentle-surf beaches. Craigville has a lively, beach-day energy and is the easiest for visitors to park and spend the day; Dowses in nearby Osterville is more low-key, edged by dunes and birdlife. Both are ideal for unhurried swimming, reading, and long shoreline walks.

  • The 1856 Country Store

A preserved 19th-century general store on Centerville’s Main Street, stocked with penny candy, local jams, and classic New England keepsake items. The draw is its authenticity and easy charm, just a short walk from the venue.

  • Hyannis Harbor Cruise

Set out from Hyannis Inner Harbor on a classic harbor cruise as an easy, scenic way to see the coastline. Book ahead in summer and bring a light layer for the breeze.

  • Four Seas Ice Cream

Serving Centerville since 1934, Four Seas is a local tradition. The menu leans on well-made flavors, done with care and consistency. It’s the reliable stop that locals recommend without hesitation.

  • Chatham Main Street & Lighthouse Overlook

Boutiques, galleries, and ice cream along a picture-perfect Main Street, then a short hop to the lighthouse overlook for big-sky ocean views.

  • Day trip to the islands

High-speed ferries from Hyannis make a refined day out to Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard. Cobblestones and wharf history in Nantucket; Victorian “gingerbread” cottages and harbor promenades on the Vineyard. Take a morning boat, wander on foot or by bike, and be back on the Cape by dinner.
